We are now members of SBFN

We are pleased to announce our inclusion in the Sustainable Banking and Finance Network (SBFN) - a voluntary community of financial regulators, central banks, ministries and industry associations from emerging markets - as its newest member, emphasizing our shared commitment to promoting sustainable finance practices and improve the resilience of Angola's financial system against environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks.

ABANC is committed to cultivating a resilient banking sector that is aligned with the nation's evolving needs. Prioritizing ESG and sustainable finance, we have created a dedicated working group to execute our strategic agenda, targeting important milestones in the next 2 to 3 years: promoting alignment with global sustainable finance standards, fostering innovation, credibility and operational efficiency in banking practices and facilitating strategic alliances for the association and its members.

"We warmly welcome ABANC to join the SBFN community, an international network of regulators and business associations dedicated to advancing sustainable financial practices. ABANC's commitment to sustainable finance resonates with our mission and we look forward to the supporting its capacity building efforts, exchanging knowledge and advocating for sustainable finance among its members", commented Jana Mudronova, SBFN Coordinator for Africa.

This membership increases for 92 the number of SBFN institutions in 71 countries, expanding our international partnerships and reinforcing our role in advancing sustainable finance in Angola.
